Pastor David Hensley
Pastor of Apostolic Lighthouse of Sand Mountain
David Hensley has been serving as pastor of Apostolic Lighthouse of Sand Mountain since August 2017. As a young man in his teens, he was called by God to preach. His call to preach happened at First United Pentecostal Church of Kenton, Tennessee. He continued serving in ministries of all sorts, including Sunday school, children’s church, and the praise team.
At nineteen, he joined the United States Army. After four years of service, he returned to the call of God. He moved to Alabama in 2009 and attended Church on the Rock in Gadsden, Alabama, under the leadership of Bishop Stan Davidson. In 2014, he was called to Boaz, Alabama, to help Pastor Jeremy Dunnam at Hope Chapel. While at Hope Chapel, he served as youth pastor.
In 2017, Pastor Dunnam felt the call to return to Louisiana. At that time, David Hensley was placed as interim pastor in his stead. Hope Chapel voted him in, and he became the pastor. In 2018, Hope Chapel moved to Albertville, Alabama. That same year, Hope Chapel changed the name of the church to Apostolic Lighthouse of Sand Mountain.
Pastor Hensley is married to his beautiful, lovely wife, Shelley Hensley, and together they are led by God to serve the people of Apostolic Lighthouse and lead the church into this age of revival. He is Holy Ghost-filled and ready to follow God’s leadership.
